  • Introduction to Cybersecurity – Offered by Cisco Academy, this course module is most suitable for beginners or those wishing to refresh their memory or retrain. You will learn cybersecurity basics to protect your personal digital life and gain insights into the biggest security challenges companies, governments, and educational institutions face today. Cybersecurity professionals who can protect and defend an organisation’s network are in high demand.

  • IT Fundamentals for Cybersecurity Specialization – offered by IBM through the Coursea platform, this introductory level course will help launch your career in Cybersecurity and acquire the knowledge you need to work in industry. The completion of this specialisation makes you eligible to earn the IT Fundamentals for Cybersecurity IBM digital badge.

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals – This course is suitable for IT personnel who are just beginning to work with Azure. This audience wants to learn about our offerings and get hands-on experience with the product. This course primarily uses the Azure portal and command line interface to create resources and does not require scripting skills.

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals – This course introduces Microsoft 365, an integrated cloud platform that delivers industry-leading productivity apps along with intelligent cloud services, and world-class security. You’ll learn foundational knowledge on the considerations and benefits of adopting cloud services and the Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model, with a specific focus on Microsoft 365 cloud service offerings.

      Quick Tips 

      • During interviews, do not shy away from asking the interviewer questions and showing interest in the company/role you are applying for
      • Prep for standard/typical interview questions with a family member or a friend. If you can’t, try asking your job coach for support
      • Study the job description and identify the required skills. Update your CV to reflect that information
      • Bring a notebook and a pen. There is nothing stopping you from taking notes during (or bringing your own notes with you) to the interview
      • Prepare smart questions for your interview. (i.e. What challenges did my predecessor face? What does success mean in this role? What is the future of this role?)
      • Tie your answers to specific skills, experiences, and knowledge you possess. Give examples to evidence these
      • Your CV needs to do you justice and be an effective marketing tool so make sure it conveys your personality successfully, with a spark of originality
      • Prepare the outfit for your interview the night before
