Four of our cyber security training course trainees went on to find work placements with e2e-assure. Manager, George Sale, had met the trainees when he delivered  presentations as part of the training course, giving insights into the work done by system analysts and other various roles in the industry.

After a year in their new job is coming to an end, I went to visit Kurtis, Liam, Robert and Marc to catch up and talk about their plans.

Our cyber security training schemes specifically welcomes people who are neurodiverse as they are often unfairly overlooked in the job market. This is in spite of the fact that some have individual mind-sets that can make them very reliable employees, and particularly in the cyber security industry where their focussed skills can prove be a great asset.

As e2e actively recruits people who are neurodivergent, this was a wonderful opportunity for our trainees to find an entry level job in an industry they love with support from a well-being officer. George says they are all very much on target and can now begin to look about for new opportunities in cyber security.

Kurtis is keen to access more training and get more qualifications. Liam is still a bit of an online chess champion and informed me that he was one question off winning the £100 prize for a Blue Teams quiz! Robert, who was one of our ‘Immersive Labs’ experts, told me his ambition is now to train as an ‘IT Technician Network Designer’.

The year’s experience of working in an industry job will help Kurtis, Liam, Robert and Marc find a new role in the cyber security sector and everyone at UKCSF are very proud and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
