On Wednesday 8th of February, our community projects team headed to the Westlands Community Centre job and apprenticeship fair in Droitwich.
Westlands Community Centre is a charity organisation focused on helping the under-privileged with anything from finding new opportunities, including work, to giving out donated food and clothing.
The aims of this job and apprenticeship fair were to give opportunities to be recruited in a range of different careers. UKCSF and IASME were there to offer recruitment opportunities in cyber security to job seekers.
Wendy Barker, head of community projects and David Millard community projects co-ordinator were fronting a stall to encourage people of all backgrounds to get involved in a career in cyber security.
Wendy adds, “We found the job fair very beneficial. We were able advertise our existing job vacancies & carry out networking with organisations who may be interested in our training.”
We hope we see a lot of new applicants inspired by our community projects team!
